ABOUT
"They were once a loving family, but now they face an unforeseen trial.
Anna has chosen a new path in life, a path that means leaving her family behind. William, struggling to understand what has gone wrong, is forced to take on the role of single parent to their two sons, Ludwig and Leo. When Anna returns and demands shared custody, William is confronted with difficult decisions and emotional challenges.
Ludwig and Leo struggle with their own grief and missing their mother while trying to adjust to a new everyday life. Through tears and laughter, from despair to hope, we follow a family's struggle to find their way back to a new form of normality.
"Mamma gick sin väg" is a powerful and emotional story about separation, parenthood, and the invisible struggle to keep a family together when everything falls apart. Monica Lundin depicts with deep insight the complex relationships and human emotions that arise when love is put to the test."
THOUGHTS
This book was such an emotional and heartbreaking story. It gave me much to reflect upon. I was filled with grief and almost felt the anxiety through the pages while I was reading it. This is not just a book; it is an example of what everyday life can be like in a worst-case scenario for a family.
Reading this book was an eye-opener because it gave me the opportunity to experience what it is like to live in a family with no hope. How can you be so careless that your kids start to fail in school? How can you tell your kids that you do not want them? How can you be so horrible to your children?
RECOMMENDATION
A book with a flood of emotions, a glimpse of development and a little bit of hope that makes you flip page after page in search of a good explanation to forgive.
To sum up - an eye-opening story that will make you burst into tears!
